Our Heritage

A countryside retreat, connection with nature and the country atmosphere

Just a 10-minute drive from Barichara, one of Colombia’s most beautiful colonial towns—where cobblestone streets, history, and tranquility can be felt in every corner—there is a small place where the countryside breathes peacefully and time seems to slow down.

Welcome to Arbolitos de Don José, a simple and lively space, surrounded by nature and fresh air. From the balcony you can take in the open landscapes of Barichara, enjoy golden sunsets, and when night falls, look up to find a sky full of stars.

This place bears the name of Don José, my grandfather, as we affectionately call him in our Santanderean land. He deeply loved nature and spent years planting fruit trees on this land with patience and love. Each tree holds a piece of his story.

Arbolitos de Don José was born to honor his memory and share this little piece of countryside with those who wish to pause for a moment, breathe deeply, and feel calm again.
